John Cage a Torino/Ivrea, maggio 1984

| 0 commenti

Buona lettura!

There is an event among the various visits of John Cage in Italy that has been a bit ‘overshadowed’ by his more famous previous appearances (1959, Lascia o raddoppia; 1977, Empty Words in Milan; 1978, Il Treno di John Cage) and his death in 1992. It’s the longest festival dedicated to him while he was still alive and with him attending, that took place in Turin and Ivrea, from May 5 to May 20, 1984. In the Events section of johncage.it, it’s now finally available a brief description of what happened then, by means of a vast collection of articles extracted from the newspapers La Stampa,l’Unità and La Repubblica thanks to their precious online archives. Even in this occasion Cage was able, in his own way, to provoke and scandalize. Enjoy the read!
